Ocean Center hosts chef's table at News-Journal Home Show
John Schmitz, the executive chef for Ovations, the exclusive caterer for the Ocean Center, will prepare two special dishes to order from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March. 27 and 28; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 29.
The dishes are:
- Fried chicken and waffle cone with jalapeño ranch slaw and chili honey drizzle (see attached photo)
- Gourmet grilled flat bread with garlic sauce, fresh vine-ripe tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and chiffonade of basil.
“With the annual News-Journal Home Show at the Ocean Center, we at Ovations have a wonderful opportunity to give thousands of visitors – and potential convention clients – a taste of the unique and delicious catering options available,” said Schmitz.
The Chef’s Table dishes will be sold in addition to regular concessions and will be available during all hours of the home show.
