Final Fight Championship makes U.S. debut

Final Fight Championship (FFC), a growing combat sports organization in Europe, will kick off its U.S. lineup of events with FFC 24 at 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the Ocean Center.

Originally headquartered in Croatia, the unique format of FFC events will remain the same in the United States. The first six mixed martial arts (MMA) bouts are stacked non-stop, leading into the second six fights, which will showcase kickboxing matches. The FFC contracts with more than 100 fighters including Robin van Roosmalen, Dion Staring, Hesdy Gerges, Ricco Rodriguez, Pavel Zhuravlev and Mladen Brestovac.

Former UFC fighter Karo Parisyan is looking to take on Germany’s Arda Ardas. FFC welterweight champ Laszlo Senyei is set to defend his belt against Chris Curtis, while former UFC fighter Danillo Villefort, will be in the ring opposite Justin Baesman. Former UFC roster member Roger Narvaez will face Britain’s Judoka Pavel Doroftei; this match will determine the first FFC middleweight champion and round out the event’s fight card.

Tickets range from $19 to $130 and can be purchased through www.ticketmaster.com. For information, visit www.ffcpro.com.
