From a basketball tournament to a holiday celebration, there’s something for everyone this November at the Ocean Center. 

Future Business Leaders of America, Nov. 11-12 – The Future Business Leaders of America national fall leadership conference will be held at the Ocean Center Friday, Nov. 11; and Saturday, Nov. 12. This is the first time the event has been held at the convention center. Students and advisers will participate in motivational general sessions, professional development and career planning workshops. For more information, visit http://www.fbla-pbl.org.

America Outdoors Association Conference, Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 – The America Outdoors Association conference will be held at the Ocean Center Wednesday, Nov. 30, through Friday, Dec. 2. The conference will feature leadership training, expanded risk management programming, strategic thinking for CEOs, and one-stop shopping for outfitter needs. Sports Tour International Women’s Basketball Invitational, Nov. 24-25 – The D1 Women’s Basketball Tournament will take place in the Ocean Center’s arena Thursday, Nov. 24; and Friday, Nov. 25. The invitational features Clemson, Loyola, Georgia State, Penn State, Troy, Georgetown, Wright State and Villanova. For more information, visit www.sporttours.net.

Light Up Volusia, Nov. 26 – The sixth annual Light Up Volusia will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, on the East Plaza of the Ocean Center. Enjoy holiday entertainment, the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus, holiday refreshments and children’s activities. The lighting of the 50-foot holiday tree will be at 7:15 p.m., followed by continued entertainment and holiday showcases. The event is free and open to the public. Sesame Street Live "Elmo Makes Music," Nov. 23
When the new music teacher’s instruments go missing, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and others come to the rescue and discover instruments they never knew existed. At “Elmo Makes Music,” children learn that everyone can make and enjoy beautiful music together! The event will be featured at the Ocean Center Wednesday, Nov. 23, with performances at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunny Seats offers fans the ultimate experience, including premium show seating and a pre-show meet and greet with two Sesame Street Live friends, including Elmo. Group discounts are available for both show times. For the 10:30 a.m. performance, groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $10 each. For the 6:30 p.m. performance, groups of 10 or more will receive a $5 discount on tickets (excluding Sunny Seats, additional fees may apply).
