Ocean Center hosts upcoming public events

The Ocean Center will be hosting numerous events in the coming weeks including:

  • Tuner-Evolution Daytona Beach: Noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 10. This southern car community event includes car competitions, as well as RC Drift and breakdance demonstrations and competitions. This event is open to the public. General adult admission is $25 at the door and $20 online. Kids ages 7-12 are $10, and kids age 6 and under are free.   •  Florida Trucking Association is hosting its annual truck driving championship at the Ocean Center June 16-17. This is the second year the association has held its annual competition in Volusia County. The Florida Truck Driving Championship allows companies to capitalize on team spirit and professional skill within the truck driving ranks. The annual event is also the official qualifier for the National Truck Driving Championship, where hundreds of companies compete for the ultimate bragging rights on the road.   • Registration open for annual Bacon Beatdown Crossfit Competition, June 23-25: Hard 2 Kill Athletics will present The Bacon Beatdown Crossfit Competition June 23-25 at the Ocean Center. Registration has already opened for this competition, which features the Bacon Beatdown Food Truck Festival, Craft Beer Festival, competition and more! The Bacon Beatdown has been held at the Ocean Center since 2014. More than 4,000 people attended last year's event. This event is open to the public.   • Showbiz National Talent: June 23-28. Nearly 4,000 participants, ages 4-18, and their supporters are expected to attend the Showbiz National Talent Competition. In its 22nd year at the Ocean Center, Showbiz is the premier championship dance competition involving dance studios from across the country. The championship is one of three this year in the United States. This event is open to the public and admission is free. For more information, visit www.showbiztalent.com.
