Hundreds of quilts on display at QuiltWeek, Feb. 28 - March 3
Today kicks of the American Quilter’s Society QuiltWeek at the Ocean Center through March 3. The event is open to the public. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission per day is $11 for members and $14 for the public; two-day admission is $20 for members and $25 for the public; and multi-day admission is $25 for members and $35 for the public. Hundreds of quilts are on display with prizes awarded for quilting excellence. In addition, AQS QuiltWeek is hosting a series of workshops with some of the top talent in the quilt industry. They also have an extensive Merchant Mall with local and national vendors. QuiltWeek – Daytona Beach features many special exhibits intended to provide inspiration and entertainment for quilters. AQS-certified quilt appraisers will be available to appraise new and antique quilts for insurance replacement or fair market values. News-Journal's Spring Home Show, March 23-25
Mark your calendars for the News-Journal's 29th annual Spring Home Show March 23-25 at the Ocean Center. The event provides attendees with a variety of exhibitors to help jump start your home improvement. Enjoy trendy presentations on stage daily; browse cool art in the Arts and Crafts Zone; and bring the kids for face painting, bounce house and more. You are sure to find something to spark inspiration for your next project. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
