Ocean Center welcomes Florida truck driving championships

With the increasing popularity of online shopping, most consumers know how their package arrives at their doorstep, but they may not realize the dedication and training it takes to arrive there safely. That’s where the Florida Trucking Association comes in. 

The Ocean Center welcomes back the Florida Truck Driving Championships June 6-8. Over 300 top drivers from companies throughout the state will compete for the chance to be winner of their class. This year’s event boasts the largest field of competitors in Florida history, with competitors having a combined 400 million miles of safe driving while hauling freight. 

And while entrants will be competing for the top title, the group embraces the “One Team Florida” message that prioritizes safety and excellence in profession, regardless of affiliation. 

The public is encouraged to attend the events, which include a Thursday night “Back to the Beach” dance party and Friday and Saturday skills course competition. Winners will be qualified to compete in the nationals championships later this year.
