Ocean Center welcomes 250+ volleyball teams
The Ocean Center will welcome more than 8,000 athletes and attendees this weekend as it hosts The Daytona Beach 100 Tournament. During the two-day event, 269 junior girls club volleyball teams ages 8 to 18 will compete in 19 divisions. Games will also take place at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Joseph Volleyball Camps, the event organizer, has hosted tournaments at the Ocean Center since 2010. This event is the largest of Joseph’s four annual volleyball tournaments at the facility. Most of the competing teams are from Florida and Georgia, and the event is estimated to generate 3,000 area room nights.
The event takes place Saturday, Feb. 1, and Sunday, Feb. 2 and begins at 8 a.m. both days. Admission passes can be purchased online for $12 for a single day and $18 for an all-tournament pass. Admission at the door is $15 for a single day and $25 for an all-tournament pass. Children 10 and under are free but must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Select games will be streamed live on FloVolleyball.TV, a streaming service that covers games, videos, news and articles for college, professional and international volleyball.
