Monster weekend at the Ocean Center

Monster weekend at the Ocean Center

It’s going to be a monster of a weekend at the Ocean Center, as the facility welcomes 2xtreme Racing Monster Truck Series for “Monster Chaos 2021.”

The Ocean Center’s arena will transform into a dirt-filled stadium where a field of massive trucks will battle for glory. Trucks include Scarlet Bandit, Jekyll and Hyde, Iron Outlaw and Bounty Hunter, driven by current reigning world champion Jimmy Creten. Trucks featured in the show are over 10 feet tall, weigh over 12,000 pounds and are equipped with engines that generate 1,500 horsepower!

In addition to watching the action, kids will have a chance to get in on the excitement and be stars of the show. Children three to 10 years of age can bring a 12V or 24V power wheels (and helmet) and race at intermission. Attendees of all ages can get up close and personal by purchasing a ride on a monster truck.

Shows take place Saturday, April 3, with a 1 p.m. matinee and 7 p.m. evening show. Both shows feature a pre-show pit party, with an opportunity to upgrade to a VIP experience. Shows last approximately two hours.

Tickets may be purchased in advance online at Extremetour.live; general admission tickets are $18 and VIP tickets are $35. Tickets will be available at the door for an increased cost. Children two and under receive free entry.
