Gymnastics, tumbling and Expo events March 25-28 demonstrate Ocean Center's flexibility

Let’s get ready to tumble!

The Ocean Center, Daytona Beach, once again will demonstrate its flexibility by hosting simultaneous gymnastics events in its arena and ballroom, and a public expo in its 95,000-square-foot exhibit hall, beginning March 25.

The Pan American Championships for Trampoline and Tumbling, hosted by USA Gymnastics, will be in the Ocean Center arena Thursday through Saturday, March 25 - 27. USA Gymnastics clubs from around the world will bring advanced-level athletes to compete. The public is welcome to attend the free event from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. each day. Six hundred athletes and coaches from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Puerto Rico are expected to attend. The event is the result of a joint booking effort of the Ocean Center and the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Florida Level 7 and Prep Optional State Championships will return to the Volusia County facility Friday through Sunday, March 26 - 28. The public can attend the event by purchasing tickets at the door beginning at 8 a.m. each day. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 16 and under. Tournaments will be in the Ocean Center ballroom.

The Spring Home and Garden Expo 2010 will fill the Ocean Center’s exhibit hall Friday through Sunday, March 26 - 28. The free show will be open to the public from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday. Parking is $5 for the event in the Ocean Center parking garage on Earl Street in Daytona Beach.
