2024 Safety & Skills Competition

Date: November 9, 2024
Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (EST)
Location: Ocean Center, Daytona Beach, FL
Venue: Exhibit Hall & Meeting Room 104AB

Schedule:

• 6:30 AM – Registration volunteers to be ready at tables
• 6:45 AM - 7:00 AM – Volunteer check-in for safety vest and name tag. Course Supervisors to report to their designated event.
• 7:15 AM - 7:45 AM – Competitors check-in at the Registration Table in the Exhibit Hall (West Concourse)
• 7:45 AM – RM Course Overseer to meet with FHP/CVE and Course Supervisors
• 7:50 AM – Competitors report to competition area for walk-thru (no earlier)
• 8:00 AM – Volunteers at stations for walk-thrus
• 8:00 AM – Doors open for spectators
• 8:45 AM – Defect sheets given to judges for RM Pre-Trip and Preventative Maintenance
• 9:00 AM – National Anthem and competition begins
• 12:00 PM – Speakers, Lunch, Raffle, Awards

Additional Information:

• This is a private event.
• Participation is limited to full-time employees of FC&PA member companies only.
• One entry form per driver/operator/mechanic.
• Limit of four drivers/operators/mechanics per company per category. Limit of two-mechanic team in preventative maintenance.
• During the competition, drivers/operators must wear company uniforms (if available) and closed-toed shoes.
• Drivers/operators will be judged in three areas: a written test, pre-trip inspection, and obstacle course. Mechanics will be judged in two areas: a written test and preventative maintenance inspection.
• Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
• Entry deadline: October 11, 2024.
