Kick International Florida State Championship, Aug. 26
Kick International will host a Florida State Championship at the Ocean Center Aug. 26. KICK International is devoted to youth and features a complete circuit of tournaments, camps and seminars designed to provide young martial artists with a safe, fair and motivating environment in which to test their skills. Art of Giving Gala, Sept. 17
The Peabody Auditorium Foundation will host their Art of Giving Gala at the Ocean Center Sept. 17. This festive evening will raise awareness and funds to benefit the Peabody Auditorium. The Art of Giving Gala includes valet parking, cocktails, taste of NYC-plated dinner and dessert from 5:30-7:15 p.m. at the Ocean Center, followed by a performance of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony-Award®-winning Broadway production of RENT, celebrating its 20th anniversary tour, at The Peabody. Ace Gymnastics Daytona Beach Bash, Sept. 22-24
The Ace Gymnastics Daytona Beach Bash – Gymnastics Tournament (formerly known as Blackjack on the Beach) is returning to the Ocean Center Sept. 22-24. The event is in its 16th year at the Ocean Center. About 1,100 athletes and their families from around Florida are expected to attend the competitions, which are open to the public. This is a U.S. Association of Gymnastics sanctioned women's level 1-5 and Xcel and Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Level 1-5 competition. Tickets will be sold by organizers at the door beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Competitions run through 8 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 5-12. Children under 4 and competing athletes will be admitted free. For more information, visit www.acegymnastics.net.

Florida Gun Show - Gun Show, Sept. 23-24
Florida Gun Shows will host a Gun Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sep. 23; and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sep. 24, at the Ocean Center. The show  will feature an array of firearms, ammunition, shooting supplies, knives and more. Self-defense products will include tasers, stun guns and pepper sprays. Concealed weapon permit classes will be offered throughout the weekend. Tickets, which are $10 per day, can be purchased at the door with cash only.
