There is always a lot going on at Volusia County’s Ocean Center. Upcoming events include the Harlem Globetrotters performing Saturday, Dec. 9, and cheer and volleyball competitions in December.

Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders competition, Dec. 2
The Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders will host its Florida State Championships Saturday, Dec. 2. This event is open to the public. The doors open at 8:45 a.m. Ticket sales begin at 9 a.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $7 for students. Children under 3 are free. Harlem Globetrotters World Tour, Dec. 9
The Original Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their action-packed 2018 World Tour to the Ocean Center at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. A star-studded roster will have fans on the edge of their seats to experience the ball handling wizardry, basketball artistry and one-of-a-kind family entertainment that thrills fans of all ages. Prepare to be amazed as the Globetrotters showcase basketball’s first 4-point line, located 30 feet from the basket – 6 feet, 3 inches beyond the top of the NBA’s current 3-point line. Florida Holiday Challenge Volleyball, Dec. 9-10
Joseph Volleyball Camps Tournaments will host the Florida Holiday Challenge Dec. 9-10 at the Ocean Center. This tournament is the opening event for the 2017-2018 volleyball season, and is open to spectators. Single-day tickets are available for $10 if they are purchased online before 11 p.m. Dec. 8. Single-day tickets are $12 after that time and can be purchased online or at the door. Two-day tickets are available for $17 if they are purchased online before 11 p.m. Dec. 8. Two-day tickets are $22 after that time and can be purchased at the door. Tickets are available each day beginning at 7:30 a.m. Children 10 and under are free. Florida Gun Show, Dec. 16-17
The Florida Gun Shows will host a gun show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Ocean Center. The show will feature an array of firearms, ammunition, shooting supplies, knives and more. There also will be self-defense products including a selection of tasers, stun guns and pepper sprays. Concealed weapon permit classes will be offered throughout the weekend. This event is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased at the door with cash only and are $10 per person per day.
