Land of Magic Division III Basketball Tournament, Dec. 28-30
Street Sports International will host this Division III basketball tournament Dec. 28-30 at the Ocean Center. The Land of Magic tournament is one of the largest Division III basketball tournaments in the country. It features men's and women's teams, including Clark, Norwich and Wilkes universities and Ithaca, Brooklyn and Colby Sawyer colleges. This event is open to the public. RV Show offers plenty of activities at showcase of recreational vehicles, Dec. 29 – Jan. 1
The Ocean Center is the site for a huge four-day indoor RV Show Friday, Dec. 29, through Monday, Jan. 1. The show features a huge selection of new RVs and includes free admission and parking. There is fun for the entire family including a bounce house, face painting, refreshments and much more. Show hours are noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan 1. For more information, visit www.rvone.com.
Dawn Robinson performs at New Year's Eve celebration, Dec. 31
Bellywood Studios is hosting a New Year's Eve celebration Sunday, Dec. 31, at the Ocean Center. The event includes dinner, dancing, a cash bar and performances by Dawn Robinson formerly of En Vogue and Lucy Pearl. The doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 in advance and $75 at the door. Robinson is an award-winning American singer, songwriter and actress. She is known worldwide as a founding member of the R & B pop group En Vogue, one of the world's best-selling female groups. Following her departure from En Vogue, Robinson joined Lucy Pearl and released their self-titled debut album Lucy Pearl 2000, which went platinum worldwide and produced the world-renowned hit singles "Dance Tonight" and "Don't Mess with My Man." Volusia County Home and Garden Show, Jan. 5-7
The seventh annual Volusia County Home and Garden Show is Friday, Jan. 5, through Sunday, Jan. 7, at the Ocean Center. The show features hundreds of vendors with the latest in home renovation, décor and remodeling products and services. Other event highlights include a Kids’ Zone, raffles, giveaways, contests, tutorials and more. Celebrity guest author and public speaker Boyce Thompson will have several presentations during the weekend. Thompson curates a Life-Changing Products exhibit that appeared at 10 of the largest American home shows in 2017.
