Florida Pokémon Regional Championships

The Ocean Center welcomes both spectators and competitors for the Florida Pokémon Regional Championships kicks off this weekend, Nov. 29 through Dec. 1. 

At the event, players will compete for prizes and earn championship points for the 2020 world competition, which brings together players from over 40 countries. After the Pokémon International Championships, the Pokémon Regional Championships are the largest events in terms of both attendance and Championship Point payouts. The event offers up to $50,000 in prizes, scholarships, and gift cards (based on attendance). 

There are no qualifications or residency restrictions to enter Pokémon. Trading Card Game players need to bring their own 60-card deck; Pokémon video game players must bring their own game system and a legal Pokémon team. All players who have a Trainer Club account and are in good standing with the Play! Pokémon program are welcome to participate. 

The public is invited to come and watch the trading card and video game action. Doors open to the public at 1 p.m. Nov. 29, 7:30 a.m. Nov. 30 and 7:45 am. Dec. 1. There is no entry fee for spectators.
