Where: Deering Preserve, 1615 Osteen Maytown Road, Osteen
Requirements: Ages 12 and up, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must provide their own watercraft (kayaks or canoes), personal flotation devices (PFDs), and whistles. PFDs must be worn while paddling.
Come paddle Deering Preserve with Explore Volusia Education Specialist, Tommy Nordmann, and Green Volusia Volunteers Environmental Specialist, Holly Giles. Step back in time to “old Florida” and experience the black waters and towering cypress trees of Deep Creek.
