The Ocean Center is owned and operated by Volusia County Government. Under the leadership of the Volusia County Council and George Recktenwald, the Volusia County Manger, the county oversees management of the Ocean Center.
Since its opening in 1985, the Ocean Center has become a significant part of Volusia County’s cultural and economic landscape. Over the years, it has transformed into one of Florida’s most dynamic venues, hosting an impressive array of events from international touring artists to sporting competitions, conventions, and community celebrations.
