Ocean Center hosts Boat Show and Home Show this weekend

If you want to upgrade your home or your time on the water, the Ocean Center is the place for you this weekend. The Daytona Boat Show takes place Sept. 8 through 10, and the Daytona Home Show takes place Sept. 9 and 10.

The Marine Industry Association of Central Florida (MIACF) presents the Daytona Boat Show for a three-day event Sept. 8-10 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. The highly anticipated show features 14 of Central Florida's top boat dealers representing more than 70 manufacturers. Upwards of 300 boats will be on display, including bowriders, center consoles, deck boats, flats boats, freshwater fishing boats, jet boats, pontoon boats, and surf boats to fit any lifestyle and occasion. Extra incentives are available only during the show from dealers and manufacturers.

Attendees can enjoy vendor booths with boating gear and various products, marine electronics, accessories, and much more. Kids 12 and under can catch a live fish at the Let’s Go Fishing Trout Pond and receive a custom caricature driving a boat by Cartoon You Caricatures. America's Boat Club Daytona Beach, formerly the U.S. Power Squadron of Daytona Beach, will be on-site to promote safe boating through public outreach and education, including a Boating Safety Course and Vessel Safety Check registration.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $5 per person and may be purchased online at https://daytonaboatshow.com/tickets or at the event. In honor of Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance (Sept. 11), free one-day admission is available at the gate for veterans, active military, and first responders with proper ID.

East Coast Consumer Shows presents the Daytona Home Show on Sept. 9 and 10. The two-day event features the latest in products and services for home improvement. Attendees can meet with professionals to make their next remodeling, renovation, landscaping, patio, or decoration project a breeze. Award-winning cookbook author and celebrity Chef Warren Caterson will present a variety of temptingly delicious in-home culinary experiences suitable for every situation, palate and budget. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, visit https://daytonabeachhomeexpo.com/.
