NASP Open and Championship Tournament Makes Daytona Beach Debut at the Ocean Center

The Ocean Center in Daytona Beach is gearing up to host the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) Open and Championship Tournament. Taking place from June 6-8, 2024, this event marks the first time the tournament will be held in Daytona Beach. Over three days, top young archers from across the nation will compete in a series of archery challenges.

The NASP Open and Championship Tournament is one of the largest youth archery competitions in the United States, promoting student participation in archery through school programs. With an expected attendance of 4,800 and an estimated 4,000 room nights, the NASP Open and Championship Tournament is set to make a significant impact on the local economy while showcasing the city's hospitality and world-class amenities.

"The Ocean Center is proud to host the NASP Open and Championship Tournament for the first time in Daytona Beach," said Tim Buckley, sales and marketing director at Ocean Center. "This event not only highlights our city as a destination for sporting events but also provides an opportunity for the community to support the next generation of archery talent."

“We are certainly looking forward to visiting the greater Daytona Beach area for our 2024 NASP®? Championship tournament," said Tommy Floyd, president of National Archery in the Schools Program. “Expectations are high as the community and tourism support has been wonderful, and we would love to establish and continue our rotational beach series event as a part of our annual championship event rotation.”

Participants from across the nation will converge at the Ocean Center to compete in various categories, including individual and team events, with divisions tailored to different age groups and skill levels. As they take aim and demonstrate their precision and skill, competitors will also embody the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication that are central to the NASP mission.

In addition to the competitions, participants and spectators can engage with vendors, attend archery workshops, and view interactive exhibits, making the Ocean Center an ideal setting for this major sporting event.
